The River Thames offers a wide variety of enjoyable activities from River Trips with French Brothers boats, which leave from Windsor at regular times. Swans can be fed at Windsor, near the Eton Bridge. Rowing boats can be hired if you fancy a quiet afternoon in the backwaters. The Thames Path offers walkers an extensive selection of options from walking into Windsor from Dorney Lake, to walking to Maidenhead. There are many beautiful restaurants along the River, from Stroks at Windsor, to The Riverside Inn at Bray and the Compleat Angler and The Ferry at Marlow.
A day trip to Hampton Court Palace, home of Henry VIII is only an hour's drive away and and easy train journey from Windsor. Discover how the Tudors lived in the times of Henry VIII. 
Love the thought of wandering through trees and plants in your own time. Maybe taking in the elevated tree walk, or checking out the Alpines or Cactii?
