Your home may be in
Ascot, Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, High Wycombe, Egham, Old Windsor, Marlow, Dorney, Taplow, Eton, Eton Wick, Burnham, Datchet, Uxbridge, Hounslow, Richmond, Staines, Twickenham or London
All these locations are good for the Olympic Transport arrangements.
If you don't live in any of these areas, that does not mean your house is less bookable. There are many different ways that ticketholders can get to the Games. Railways stations on the Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor & Eton Riverside lines, will all be within very easy reach, because there will be shuttle services to the Games from these 3 stations.
We are currently taking bookings for 2012
We aim to let to Officials, the Media and Businesses who will maximise the rental value, by staying for the duration of the 2012 games, which is about four weeks. There is plenty of opportunity to let your house if you don't wish to stay away for that long (minimum of one week).
As at 14th March 2011, we have published transport information which is published by the Olympic Organisation (LOCOG). This will help ticketholders and homeowners understand where the best locations are for ease of access to Eton Dorney.
If you register, and complete your Questionnaire, and you are not in the list above, please write a short note or email us at office@lakelets.uk.com on why you believe that your home location is good.
EG "My home is 5 minutes' walk from Wraysbury train station, which is 10 minutes train journey to Windsor & Eton Riverside station"
When you have completed your Questionnaire, we will ask for a payment of £35 (£70 if you choose Bespoke pricing) for the property inspection.
The questionnaire allows you to decide when and for how long you wish your home to be available to rent. Our booking system allows you to change your availability dates, pricing and other details at the click of a button - so you are always in total control. Should you decide to leave Lakelets and remove your property listing from our website, you can do this within a matter of minutes. We do not reveal your name, address, or your contact details on our website, but in the event of a booking, we give you the choice of dealing directly with the people who have booked your house or we can handle the entire letting on your behalf.
There are many websites that advertise holiday cottages, hotels etc. These websites simply advertise the business and the proprietors are responsible for the entire lettings. Issues such as insurance, gas safety certificates, health and safety, legal letting agreements, secure payment and confidence for the booker are all important factors which ensure that any letting is legal and reliable.
The difference with Lakelets is that we deal with all aspects of your booking and ensure that you comply with all laws and regulations, secure the payment and produce the letting agreement on your behalf. We do not deal with the practical aspects, eg checking in and checking out, unless you specifically require this service.
The media are talking about this opportunity for homeowners to benefit from London 2012. Please play the video of an interview with a homeowner.
